Police target ‘Fatal 4’ offences during April
Police forces across the country are supporting a four-week operation to highlight the ‘fatal four’ offences.
The operation, which got underway on 1 April, is being co-ordinated by the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC).
The NPCC operation will focus on all vehicle types and road users, with forces conducting joint partnership and cross border operations.
The aim is to educate road users on the perils of the fatal four – not wearing a seatbelt, drink and drug driving, speeding and using a handheld mobile phone.
The Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership will be sharing information on social media to encourage seatbelt use, demonstrate the risks posed by the fatal four and the penalties drivers and passengers will face when they are caught.
