UKROEd Appoint Chief Operations Officer

UKROEd is thrilled to announce that Jon Robertson has been appointed as UKROEd’s Chief Operations Officer (COO) on a permanent basis.
Jon has been filling the role – which is responsible for overseeing the operational implementation of the UKROEd Delivery Plan – on an interim basis for the past 10 months, following the retirement of Dave Jones in March last year.
Jon was interviewed for the permanent post earlier today (Tuesday 4 February) as part of a rigorous interview and recruitment process, and the organisation is delighted to confirm he has been successful.
Chair of UKROEd, Peter Strachan, said: “Jon has been an outstanding member of the UKROEd team for some time now. He brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the scheme and is passionate about our collective desire to significantly reduce death and serious injury on our roads.
“I wish him every success in the role and look forward to seeing UKROEd go from strength to strength under his leadership.”
Formally a Head of Service Delivery for a commercial course provider, Jon joined UKROEd in February 2020 originally as a Professional Standards Manager before taking on the role of COVID-19 Response Lead and supporting the organisation through its response to the pandemic.
Prior to his temporary promotion to COO, Jon led the Stakeholder Engagement & Communications business area, ensuring UKROEd build and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders whilst cementing the UKROEd brand.
Jon lives in Telford and is father to three boys.
