New chief for RoadPeace
RoadPeace has announced the appointment of Kate Davidson MBE as its new chief executive officer. With more than 15 years of experience in the bereavement and end-of-life sector, Kate’s career began in local government bereavement services before she transitioned to Dignity Plc, where she rose from chief operating officer to chief executive in 2022. Kate also holds an undergraduate Law degree, a diploma in Cemetery and Crematorium Management and an Executive MBA from Warwick Business School, where she specialised in strategic leadership.
Her final dissertation, which focused on how organisations can better support the bereaved. In addition to her professional achievements, Kate serves as the president of the UK’s National Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities and is a respected tutor for the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management.
Her dedication to the bereavement community was further recognised when she was awarded an MBE in the 2022 New Year Honours for her services to bereaved people during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kate succeeds Nick Simmons, who stepped down as CEO earlier this year after six years in the role. The organisation says it is grateful for Nick’s service and looks forward to the new direction and leadership that Kate will bring to RoadPeace.
